From Reading Struggle to Sanctuary:

The Nurturing Path to

Literacy Joy.

A Free 60-Minute Workshop

for Moms Who Are Ready to EXHALE.

Does reading time feel like a silent battle?

You sit down with the best intentions. You want to connect. You want to help. But within minutes, the energy shifts. Your child is squirming, shutting down, or crying. You feel your own chest tighten with frustration and guilt.

You’ve tried the flashcards. You’ve tried "pushing through." But the resistance only gets stronger.

Here is the truth: This isn't a behavior problem. It isn't a motivation problem. It is a nervous system problem.

And if you are running on empty, you cannot help your child find their calm.

Welcome to
The Relaxed Reading Retreat.

It’s time to stop fighting the current and start flowing with it.

On December 16th, I am inviting you to step out of the pressure cooker and climb into The Tree House—my virtual haven for moms who are ready for a different way.

This isn't a dry lecture on phonics.

This is a 60-minute experiential retreat.

We are going to prioritize connection over correction,

and safety over standards

During our hour together, you will:

  • 🌿 Master the "Airmask" Philosophy: We start with YOU. Discover why nurturing your own creative energy (The Wayfinder approach) is the scientifically necessary first step to solving your child’s reading struggles.

  • 🧘 Experience a Live Nervous System Reset: We won't just talk about calm; we will feel it. I will guide us through a brief, gentle regulation exercise you can use immediately to turn a stressful homework hour into a peaceful haven.

  • Shift from "Enforcer" to "Guide": Learn the core strategies of the Relaxed Reading Revolution that replace mandatory battles with joyful, cozy rituals your child will actually ask for.

Presented by Stephanie Murphy, MSEd., OTA, A/OGA

Stephanie Murphy is known as the literacy and ADHD whisperer, a guide for overwhelmed moms, and a gentle champion for reluctant readers.  For more than 30 years, she has helped children who struggle with reading, writing, attention, and anxiety rediscover their confidence, curiosity, and joy.

An Orton-Gillingham–certified Special Education/Reading teacher, Occupational Therapy Assistant, and founder of On Track Occupational Therapy, Stephanie blends structured literacy with a calming, nature-centered approach.

She believes learning should feel peaceful and connected,  never stressful or rushed.

Stephanie has supported hundreds of families in transforming reading from a daily struggle into a shared, heartfelt ritual. She teaches moms how to calm the nervous system (their child’s and their own), how to build simple routines that make life feel lighter, and how to become their child’s most powerful reading guide.

Her work is rooted in the belief that motherhood doesn’t have to feel like drowning in obligations, and that when moms carve out a little time for themselves, their capacity grows in ways that feel almost magical.

Today, Stephanie leads Wayfinder Woman and along with her partner Scott, leads the Enchanted Literacy Trail, offering gentle guidance, practical tools, and a sense of belonging to parents who want a calmer, more joyful path into reading.

Her mission is simple and heartfelt:
to help families breathe again, connect again, and discover that reading can be relaxed, playful, and full of wonder.
